INCLINE VILLAGE BEACHES

Note: the Incline Village beaches described below are private beaches – you must have a guest pass to access these (during the winter/off season, the gates for these beaches are unstaffed and you don't need a pass to enter). Guest passes are available from Goldfish Properties for a modest fee per person.

Ski Beach and Incline Beach (both within walking distance, about a 5-10 minute walk from the condo): Ski Beach is located across from the Hyatt on Lakeshore Drive and has a nice grassy area for sports, BBQ pits & picnic tables, a Volleyball court, and a boat ramp, and benches for just sitting and enjoying the setting. Incline Beach is located right next to Ski Beach. Incline Beach has a playground area for kids and a lot of picnic tables and is set up for BBQing. Incline Beach and Ski Beach are interconnected by a wooden footbridge, so you can explore both beaches in one visit. Parking is somewhat limited at Ski Beach, but there’s plenty of parking at Incline Beach.

Directions: from the condo, turn right on Incline Way, turn right at the end of the block on Country Club Drive, turn right and drive one block to Lakeshore Blvd. Turn right on Lakeshore and both beaches will be on your immediate left. If you’re walking from the condo, turn right on Incline Way and turn right when you see the big open grassy area (Village Green) – cut through Village Green and the beaches will directly across from Village Green when you reach Lakeshore Blvd. There’s also a short cut walking path thru the McCloud complex if you want to get to Lakeshore Drive via Village Blvd. ; see the map on the refrigerator.

Burnt Cedar Beach (about a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive): Burnt Cedar Beach is in a spectacular setting, with a striking grassy area that juts out into the lake. There’s a nice sandy beach area for swimming (with lifeguards), a heated 25 yard pool and lounge area overlooking the lake, a separate kids pool with lifeguard, and BBQs, tables, and benches throughout. There’s also a food concession, and the pool area has a small locker room/changing area with private showers. It’s a GREAT place to unwind and enjoy the lake. To get there, head to Lakeshore Blvd. and turn right (west) on Lakeshore (it’s 1.2 miles from Village Blvd., or 1.5 miles from Country Club Drive).

Incline Village Bike/Walking Path: OK, it’s not a beach, but it’s within walking distance of the condo and worth a special mention. Most of the length of Lakeshore Blvd. has a wide paved path that’s great for a stroll, run, or a leisurely bike ride. From the condo, head towards the lake to Lakeshore Blvd. – the bike path extends in both directions to the right and to the left (about a mile to the left heading towards the east shore of the lake, about 2 miles toward the right heading towards Crystal Bay).
