Sept 5-7, 2008: Great Reno Balloon Race, a very fun hot air balloon festival. Get there early for the mass ascent. We did this in 2007 and it was very fun and memorable.

Sept 10-14: Reno National Championship Air Races at Stead Airport, about 15 miles north of Reno and it’s quite an event, featuring air races of different classes/vintages, a dizzying array of exhibits and tours, and a wide variety of air show acrobatics.

- Oct 4, 2008: Downtown Truckee Wine Walk and Shop from noon to 4PM (admission includes commemorative glass, unlimited wine tasting, and 5 food tickets).
